RAB and TNUoS: Charges Variations and Actions from Suppliers

This section gives you a breakdown of these additional charges and how they are treated by different suppliers

E.ON Next/British Gas/British Gas LiteBG-3BGLe on next

How these charges are treated

  • The existing contract does not currently include a separate RAB or TNUoS charge.
  • However, standard contract terms allow regulated industry charges to be passed through if there are significant market-wide changes.
  • For new contracts, pricing already includes a forecasted allowance for both RAB and TNUoS.

What this means for you

Your agreed price already reflects expected industry costs. While no immediate change is planned for existing contracts, regulated charges may be reviewed if confirmed costs change materially across the market.

EDF Energy edf energy

How these charges are treated

  • Older contracts were agreed before RAB and TNUoS were confirmed.
  • EDF is currently waiting for final industry confirmation (expected January) before deciding whether any action is required.
  • New contracts include forecasted RAB and TNUoS costs in the pricing.

What this means for you

Your price reflects known costs today. If industry charges are confirmed and applicable, EDF will review the position and communicate any changes in advance.
