Letter of Authority (LOA) Requirements
LOA's are mandatory for all suppliers to ensure your contracts are submitted and actioned successfully. This section outlines the key requirements for the LOA.

- It must have the correct business name and address
- It must be signed by an appropriate signatory showing name and position
- If DocuSign email address used must match the account
- It must must have been signed within last 10 months
- The aggregator and sub-broker must be mentioned and include company registration numbers if applicable
- It must clearly state permissions granted by LOA
- It must be signed by same authorised person as contract and dated

- It must have the correct business name and address

- It must have a clear start and end date
- There should be no mention of services being paid for by supplier
- Aggregator and sub-broker must be mentioned and include company registration number
- It must clearly state if the authority is for a portfolio or a specific site
- It must have been signed within last 12 months

- It must be signed by a person in a position of authority in the business
- It must explicitly state who has signed it, their position at the time of signature so as to confirm their status as a person in a position of authority
- It must include customer contact information which enables verification with the customer
- It must be dated
- It's duration must be explicitly stated, an LOA can be valid for a maximum of 5 years, and if there is no duration it will be deemed valid for 12 months only
- It must include customers' full registered company name and registration number
- It must include all third-party company names, registration number, what data the third party is permitted to have access to and what activities they can undertake

- It can be valid for longer than 12 months as long as it has an end date
