API Documentation and Instructions
This section provides an explanation on how our POWWR API's work. The POWWR UK APIs let brokers, partners and suppliers connect their systems to the POWWR platform.
POWWR UK APIs let brokers, partners and suppliers connect their systems to the POWWR platform. Together they run the commercial energy sales journey programmatically, from finding a customer’s meters to getting a signed contract registered with the supplier. You can use them as one end-to-end flow, or pick out only the services you need.
A typical journey uses the APIs in this order:
- Meter Lookup Service finds a site’s electricity and gas meter points by postcode or MPAN/MPRN and returns the meter details needed to quote.
- UK Pricing API returns live supplier rates for those meters and shows how each meter will be priced.
- Connected API (CAPI) creates the chosen deal on the supplier’s POWWR portal, checks the quoted rates, runs any required credit check and submits the deal.
- PDF Generation API and DocuSign Generation API produce the supplier contract and Letter of Authority, and send them to the customer for e-signature.
- V3 Portal API lets the supplier update the contract’s status through validation and registration, and export submitted contract data.
Most services are authenticated with an API key issued during onboarding, and some flows also need an OAuth token from the POWWR Auth Server. Your onboarding pack includes your credentials, environment URLs and the list of supplier PowwrIDs used to route deals.
