Product Strategy Lead

Role Overview 

 We’re seeking a Product Strategy Lead to support the Product Director by owning specific strategic areas. You’ll drive deep discovery on defined initiatives while aligning with our overarching product strategy. You’ll translate market insights and partner with cross-functional teams to shape actionable plans. You’ll help ensure key initiatives have clear business value and feasibility, supporting confident decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Own defined strategic initiatives, leading deep-dive discovery, shaping requirements and developing robust business cases.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Director to align these initiatives with the overarching strategy and ensure they complement the broader product roadmap.
  • Anticipate market shifts (e.g., clean tech, MHHS), providing actionable insights that shape our product opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering (especially the Head of Innovation) to prototype concepts and assess technical feasibility early.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with third-party organizations, ensuring integrations enhance our platform’s evolution.
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams, aligning diverse groups toward shared goals without direct authority.
  • Define success metrics for initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes drive value.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a Product Strategy, Product Lead or similar strategic product role
  • Strong experience defining product strategy and aligning it to commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience setting up and managing partnerships with third-party organisations
  • Extensive experience leading end-to-end product discovery, including value modelling
  • Experience working closely with Engineering to understand technical constraints and opportunities
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance and risk considerations within product development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at senior level
  • Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise, decision-ready documentation
  • Experience managing without authority and leading cross-functional, virtual teams
