"TROUBLE IN TEXAS: IMPLICATIONS FROM FEBRUARY 2021"

with panelist Ariel Smith

The events of February 2021 have jolted the electricity markets in Texas as customers, suppliers and regulators are up in arms. Will this be a harbinger of things to come? How will this change the products available to sell in the future? How will the other states and regulatory bodies react? How should the retail energy industry react when reputable publications such as the Wall Street Journal report that consumers in Texas have paid $28 billion more than they would have had Texas never been deregulated 20 years ago?  We have to rethink our mission as an industry and these questions and many more will be explored.

Additional Panelists:
Moderator: Alex Baldassano – Wood Mackenzie
John Fayh – Tomorrow Energy
Natara Feller – Feller Law Group
Matt White – IGS
Brandon Young – Payless Power
