Background to Requirement

POWWR is at an incredibly exciting time in its evolution and although the company is small, we are incredibly ambitious.   The continued growth and appetite to add value means the business is seeking to add to the existing UX/UI in order to provide a simplistic and efficient user experience.

 

Summary of Requirements

Reporting into the Senior UX Designer, the role will own POWWR’s design principles and strive to enhance our users’ experiences to attract and retain customers.  As the user experience expert, you guide the product and development teams to design new, and extend existing products in a consistent, user-friendly manner, so our users can work efficiently and provide value to their businesses.

 

Role & Responsibilities

• Designing user interfaces to maximise the user experience while understanding technical enablers and constraints
• Creating wireframes and prototypes to share ideas with both internal teams and clients to support the user stories used to develop our software
• Supporting product and development staff with insights into user experience best practice combined with an understanding of how POWWR can help our users work more effectively
• User research to understand how our users interact with our products – this could be from numerous sources ranging from on-site visits to data analytics tools
• Ensuring consistency of UI within each product and our brand
• Assisting marketing with graphic design work for the website and external email communications

 

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of product management techniques and experience of working in a B2B product management role
• Knowledge of the energy market
• Knowledge of user-centred design and UX best practices
• Digital design and a strong portfolio of visual design work
• Responsive design (desktop/tablet/mobile)
• XD or similar prototyping tools
• Balsamiq or similar wireframing tools

• Experience with responsive frameworks such as Angular, Bootstrap, etc.
• Creation and editing of video/ animation

 

Location and package 

This role will be based is UK based with a preference for a North West location.  Remote working is in place with occasional travel to the Manchester office or other locations as required.
