Summary of Requirements

Working within an Agile scrum team, the Senior Applications Engineer will be involved in product and applications development.   This role may be involved in any of our Product Portfolios – Broker360, Sales360 or Risk360.

The key requirement is to ensure that be an exciting and streamlined user experience is delivered  The Senior Developer will be responsible for translating the business needs into solutions and to ensure high quality output/code standards.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Meeting with the Scrum and Product team to prioritize, estimate and plan work
  • Designing and developing user interfaces.
  • Writing high quality code in C# or similar
  • Developing product analysis tasks.
  • Making complex technical and design decisions
  • Developing application codes and unit tests
  • Conducting performance tests.
  • Consulting with the Product and wider Scrum team.
  • Recommend upgrades for existing systems and products
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure continued functionality of the Product during maintenance and testing of software
  • Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address any concerns.

Skills & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar.
  • Previous work experience as an AngularJS developer.
  • Proficient in CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
  • Experience using JavaScript building tools.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proven experience implementing front-end and back-end JavaScript applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Critical thinker and good problem-solver.

 

Location and package 

This role will be based is UK based with a preference for a North West location.  Remote working is in place with occasional travel to the Manchester office or other locations as required. The package will consist of competitive base salary, 25 days annual leave, matched pension contribution and private health care.
