Summary of Requirements

Reporting into the CEO, this role will take full ownership of the POWWR solution portfolio developing, managing, and executing overall solution level and individual product roadmaps collaborating with senior management, engineering, program management, customers, and partners.

The role will be responsible for defining and running the process for prioritizing investments across the portfolio that maximize value to the customer and return to POWWR.

As the Director of Product, you'll report directly to the CEO and collaborate with senior management, engineering, customers, and partners to develop, manage, and execute overall solution level and individual product roadmaps. You'll be responsible for defining and running the process for prioritizing investments across the portfolio that maximize value to the customer and return to POWWR.

You'll bring your expertise in product management to bear on the development of cutting-edge software solutions for the deregulated energy sector. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver innovative products that meet the needs of our customers and position us as a leader in the industry.

 Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage an approach to incrementally review and prioritize investment in the overall solution portfolio making objective, value-based decisions within and between products, service, and platforms.
  • Systematically engage prospects, customers, partners, and competitors to document and share Voice of Market (VOM) with key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, cultivate, and mentor a team of subject matter expert product managers.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for evergreen competitive analyses.
  • Develop and maintain solution and product positioning documents including Feature/Advantage/Benefit matrices to enable marketing and sales.
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering to evaluate customer and implementation project feedback and requests versus commitments.
  • Represent POWWR as an external influencer at industry conferences and events. 

 Key Competencies

  • Portfolio management within a scaled agile framework.
  • Knowledge of the energy market with focus on electricity and natural gas markets.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions that have demonstrable and visible customer value.
  • Collaboration and teamwork across geographically diverse, remote teams.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement with ability to influence outcomes.
  • Comfortable working within and across teams.
  • Confident yet demonstrates humility.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.


 Skills & Experiences


  • 5+ years leading and managing a team of product managers.
  • Energy industry solution experience.
  • Demonstrated success working in an agile framework.
  • Business-critical cloud, B2B solution experience.
  • Management and collaboration with remote teams.


  • Demonstrated knowledge of US, UK, and European energy markets.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of risk management, demand forecasting, pricing, commissions and settlements. 
  • Experience managing a blended portfolio of cloud and cloud-enabled solutions.

Location and package  

This role will be remote but requires time-zone affinity to EST and GMT and the ability to travel to Manchester, UK and Charlotte, NC as necessary.
